Travel To Cognac

Ferry

There are many ferry routes from the UK to Northern France, if you take the overnight Portsmouth to Caen route, the drive to is approx. 5 hours or from St Malo approx 4.5 hours.

Car Hire

All the major car hire firms have cars to hire from the airports above and at Angouleme .

Transport to and from the venue

We will hire coaches, which will take guests from the centre of Cognac (Francois premier roundabout in the centre of Cognac) to the venue and then return again at the end of the Wedding. Alternative private hire vehicles are available but booking in advance is essential.

If you do want to use this coach service that we provide, it is advised to stay in one of the Hotels mentioned below that are a short walk to the François Premier roundabout (Coach pick up and drop off point) or other accommodation that is equally close. please let us know if you need a place booked on the transport. Coaches are large and parking is limited in central Cognac, coaches also struggle with multiple drop off points due to timings and access.

Accommodation

Cognac is the nearest town just 8km from the Chateau, situated on the river Charente and is mostly known for the production of luxurious spirits. The main Cognac houses are Hennessy, Martell, Otard, Camus and Remy Martin. Tours can easily be arranged for your interested guests.
